Notes:

Lateral uniform pressure for ICE Block in Seismic Zone 4 is 12 psf for 6", and 16 psf for 8".
Moment Magnifier method used, UBC 1910.11. Meets design requirements of CABO 304.3 and 304.4. Required reinforcing very sensitive to eccentric loading, table based on concentric loading (e=0). Axial Loads are maximum allowable for given reinforcing. Reinforcing CANNOT be reduced for non-bearing application at tabulated backfill height.

Reinforcing bar to be placed in the center of the wall. Seismic Zones 3 & 4 use maximum vertical spacing of 12" with equivalent steel, and 2 #4 horizontal in the top beam.
